The 1 minute slide show above summarizes the benefits of bringing Voyage to Betterment to the workplace
The Hidden Benefits of applying Voyage to Betterment in the workplace
In 1995 Dr David R Hawkins MD, featured in the film Voyage to Betterment and known as the world’s foremost expert on human behavior published the book Power vs. Force. Hawkins work was lauded by everyone from Lee Iacocca and Sam Walton to Oprah and Mother Teresa. The overall level of integrity of a company is the main critical factor that contributes to the success of any company. To demonstrate the value of integrity Hawkins calibrated the levels of integrity of major corporations and Wal-Mart ranked 1st. Hawkins knew in 1995 that it was the integrity level of Walmart that was going to ensure its long term success and that an investment in Walmart in 1995 would yield long term results. In that 15 year period of extended recessions that caused the death and reorganization of many companies, WalMart sales grew from $96 billion in 1995 to $405 billion in 2010.
Integrity refers to a person's or company's commitment to the truth and their prioritizing what is Right above what is convenient for them personally. People with integrity do their best at all times whether they’re playing sports, doing the dishes or working. The level of prevalence of non integrity is visible in the reality that the average adult tells about 6 lies each day.
Hawkins revealed that about 50% of North Americans lack integrity. This is supported by Mercer’s 2010 study of 30,000 employees in 17 countries that revealed that just over 50% of employees in Canada and the USA are considering leaving the job or have ready checked out mentally. People that lack integrity are not happy and are bad news for a company. They will call in sick when they’re not, pretend to work, collude, lack enthusiasm and be ineffective. Their negative attitude affects everyone in the company and they waste management time that could be focused on growth. A majority of shrinkage comes from internal sources.
Restaurant chains accept that 80% of their employees will steal from them and implement extensive internal controls to curb theft. But theft is small part of the cost of non integrity. Restaurants much like all businesses accept that over half their workforce lacks integrity and are powerless to do much about it. A company can not do this themselves as in house efforts will be perceived as preaching or hypocrisy. Unhappy employees will point to management errors or a million reasons to justify non integrity. It doesn’t have to be this way. It is possible to effectively lift the consciousness and integrity levels of all employees.
An old school managed company would reject this reality with pride and denial insisting their company was an exception. A world class company would look at this reality with enthusiasm, as such a discovery clearly shows how a company can continuously improve and achieve maximum results for minimal funds. Our levels of integrity are correlated to our level of consciousness which can be continuously improved. As our level of consciousness grows we experience a state of complete integrity where not even white lies are acceptable. With continued growth we experience states of willingness and unending enthusiasm receiving great joy from being of service to the best of our ability. A workforce in these states would have low turnover and manifest long term growth, prosperity and benefit to all.
To put a dollar value on integrity consider this example for a minute: If you had 100,000/year budgeted on a sales team are you better off to hire 2 full time employees with integrity who ask for $50,000/year or 4 people without integrity who are willing to work for $25,000 each? Who would you hire, the 4 people or the 2 people?
This should make it clear that employees with integrity are worth at least double employees that lack it. The Wal-Mart example shows the value is actually exponentially higher. The average salary in the USA is about $40,000/year and the average tenure is 5 years. The average employer will pay the average worker about $200,000 over 5 years. Is it worth paying $100,000/ employee to transform the average employee without integrity into employees with integrity? Of course it is.
We could have developed an approach to validate charging $100,000 per employee to lift their integrity levels. Fortunately there is no need to spend all the money. We will do it for less than $200 per employee. That's a 99.8% savings from its value of $100,000 per employee. It is also guaranteed so if you are not 100% satisfied we do not wish to receive a dime.
A business that is considering implementing this work into their workforce ought to simply ask themselves this question. Would they rather pay $40,000 for an employee that lacks integrity, dislikes their job and brings everyone down with them or $40,100 for an employee that has integrity, loves their work, does the utmost at all times with gratitude. The savings of just one sick day per year will more than pay for the work. The cost to incorporate this body of work into the workplace will in reality be repaid over a thousand times over.

Are we living to the utmost while we work or killing ourselves working?
We repeatedly experience that employees are willing an eager to implement this work to improve their quality of life, when it is introduced to them in the proper context. There should be no reason any company should be unwilling to give it a test run. The benefits should be obvious. A Heart Rate Variability Stress test is one of the best measurements for overall well being. When we tested the heads of World Class Manufacturing operations they show high levels of stress, working in a fight or flight mode, proof that we are committed more to the welfare of machines than our own bodies. Yet employees of major World Class Manufacturers are taking our workshops on their own and their testimony follows:
Testimonials
“Wow, what a great day at the Body Mind Spirit Challenge Workshop. Andrew Facca you did a great job. If you ever do any weekly classes count me in” Mounir Ghacham, Chrysler Windsor
Andrew Facca's mind body and spirit challenge really put things into perspective. Since taking the challenge I have helped my wife successfully launch her new business. I've enrolled in Yoga and started practicing the art of meditation. My life has completely transformed, constantly practicing the simple techniques and often reflecting on Andrew's Voyage to Betterment. I highly recommend anything Andrew Facca has to offer. He is a very inspirational person who has inspired me and my family to understand the true meaning of life! Troy Maleyko, Chrysler Windsor
I see your concepts and truths could be adapted and applied to any company or to anyone anywhere. I did the 30 day Body Mind Spirit Challenge and could feel my overall health improve within the first week of the challenge. I actually lost weight and have maintained my new weight since doing the challenge. I was using medication for sinuses and allergies, and that has stopped. I had chronic knee pain and after 30 days that is gone too. The gift that Andrew Facca is offering you is a gift for a better life. Any change you make will become exponential as long as you continue to do so. Watching Voyage to Betterment is step 1, taking the 30 day challenge is step 2, and continuing your journey is step 3. Many thanks. Gary Fedun, Chrysler Windsor
"Best thing I ever did for myself" Barbara Zimmerman

"I just cannot believe how much of an impact this makes on everyday life! Mariette Renaud

"OMG what a difference just 12 days of living a different way" Sheri Baldwin
"Amazing & Life Changing" Dawn Lingard
"I was moved, touched and inspired" Mary Jane Stewart
"Best thing I ever did in my life" Alice Wynnyk
